13th Judicial Circuit Court, Mobile County, Alabama Filing Rules

The Motion to Set and Certificate of Readiness must be received by the Court before the disposition date or the case will be dismissed.

An objection must identify the correct name and entity and/or state the grounds relied on.

Applications for default and the listed motions incur a $50 fee.

A party seeking special damages must furnish the other parties with a list at least 21 days before trial.

Parties must not contact the Judge or court staff outside of Court, including by mail, social media, email, or fax.

A trial date may be reset only for good cause shown.

The Motion to Set and Certificate of Readiness must use a form similar to the form available in the Clerk's Office.

At least 3 business days prior to the trial (or any pendente lite hearing), all parties shall pre-mark their Court exhibits and upload them to the case file on Alafile under the Exhibits tab.

Counsel must confer and attempt to resolve or narrow a discovery dispute before its scheduled hearing.
