District of Delaware
ded3rd Circuit23 judges
The District of Delaware, headquartered at the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building in Wilmington, is the de facto corporate capital of the United States, as more than half of all Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware. The court handles an enormous volume of complex corporate and patent litigation, and its judges are regarded as among the most experienced in corporate law anywhere in the world. The district has four authorized judgeships but carries a caseload far exceeding its size.
