Eastern District of Tennessee

The Eastern District of Tennessee holds court in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Greeneville, and Winchester, covering the Great Smoky Mountains region and the Tennessee Valley. The district has five authorized judgeships and handles significant environmental litigation related to Tennessee Valley Authority operations and national-park land disputes. The Chattanooga Division borders the historic Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.
