When a motion is heard without prior notice, the obtaining attorney must serve written notice with specified case and ruling details on nondefaulting parties and file proof of service within two days after the hearing.

Counsel must file a certification briefly describing the discovery requests and including proof of service, and identical requests to multiple parties may be covered in one certification.

The party requesting a hearing must give written notice of all motions to parties who have appeared and are not in default, and to parties whose time to appear has not expired.

Notice of a motion made within a court day of trial must be given as the court directs.

Notice that additional relief has been sought must comply with Supreme Court Rule 11.

A summary judgment motion may not be heard until at least ten days after service of the notice of motion under Supreme Court Rule 11.

The moving party must call a filed motion for hearing within 90 days of filing or the court may strike it or set it for hearing.

When no appeal is pending and no record action has occurred for six months, the Court may dismiss for want of prosecution, and the case may not be redocketed without good cause and leave of Court.

The notice accompanying each summons must highlight or bold Rules 9-8 and 9-10(b) and (c).
