The judge’s findings must be entered in a written order and the appropriate county’s State's Attorney must file it with the Circuit Clerk on the first business day after the proceeding.

Filing deadlines for motions and pleadings that fall on a legal holiday are extended to the court's next business day.

The Circuit Clerk will not accept filings on the listed 2027 legal holidays.

The Circuit Court adjourns and the Circuit Clerk does not accept filings on the listed 2026 legal holidays.

The request must be sent to the other party at least three business days before the proceeding, and the other party may object in writing; the Court decides whether to grant a request when an in-person appearance is otherwise required.

For a motion heard without prior notice, the party obtaining the order must serve notice on parties not in default under Supreme Court Rule 11 and file proof of service with the clerk.

The party requesting a motion hearing must give written notice of the hearing to all other parties.
