Mail

Jury summonses must be served at least 15 days before service begins and may be served by regular mail to the listed voter-registration or driver’s-license address.

When practicable, copies of exhibits should be furnished to the Court, opposing counsel, and any opposing SRL by the time the exhibit is offered in evidence.

Electronic service

E-service transmits documents electronically but does not confer jurisdiction when the law requires personal service.

Filing deadlines for motions and pleadings that fall on a listed legal holiday are extended to the next business day of the Court.

The Clerk may reject an electronically filed case or document type that has not been approved.

If the Clerk requests a hard copy of an electronically filed document, the Filer must provide it within seven days of reasonable notice.

The filer must ensure electronically filed documents and exhibits do not disclose impounded, sealed, or private information.

The Court’s files and records are presumed accessible to the public, and that presumption may be overcome only by a compelling showing that access is outweighed by the interests in protecting them from public view.

Unless an identified legal exception applies, a file, record, or document may be impounded or sealed only by court order.
