When filing a divorce complaint, the moving party must also file a vital statistics sheet, two addressed envelopes, and a separate statement listing the parties and children under 18.

Filing Timing

All 104
  • In covered civil actions, excluding the listed categories, the plaintiff must file and transmit a proposed order to the assigned judge no later than 60 days after service of the complaint.

  • Within 14 days after the discovery-completion deadline, plaintiff’s counsel must arrange a telephone conference with chambers for all parties’ counsel to estimate trial days, secure trial dates, and consider mediation.

  • As guidelines, the pretrial conference is listed at 10 months for simple cases, 14 months for standard cases, 17 months for complex cases, and 17 months for medical malpractice cases.
