Southern District of Georgia

The Southern District of Georgia holds court in Augusta, Brunswick, Dublin, Savannah, Statesboro, and Waycross, covering the coastal and southeastern portions of the state. The district has three authorized judgeships and Savannah's status as the nation's second-busiest container port generates substantial maritime admiralty and international trade litigation. The Augusta Division handles matters related to Fort Eisenhower (formerly Fort Gordon) and the Savannah River nuclear site.
