Southern District of Indiana

The Southern District of Indiana, headquartered at the Birch Bayh Federal Building and United States Courthouse in Indianapolis, serves the southern portion of Indiana including Terre Haute, Evansville, and New Albany. The district has five authorized judgeships and Indianapolis's status as a pharmaceutical and life-sciences hub generates significant drug-patent litigation. The Terre Haute Division hosts the only federal execution facility in the United States.
