Southern District of West Virginia

The Southern District of West Virginia, headquartered in Charleston with court also held in Beckley, Bluefield, Huntington, and Lewisburg, serves the southern and central portions of the state. The district has gained national prominence as the epicenter of opioid-crisis litigation, with thousands of suits against pharmaceutical distributors consolidated there. It has five authorized judgeships.
