Court-wide rules

Applies court-wide

Augusta County Circuit Court, Virginia publishes its filing requirements at the court level rather than per judge, so these 15 rules are what govern this courtroom.

The down payment shall not exceed 10% of the Costs if the total is $500 or less. If the Costs owed are more than $500, five percent of such amount or $50.00, whichever is greater, shall be required.

  • A defendant unable to pay costs in full must elect an installment, deferred-payment, or approved community-service plan within the applicable 30-day period; community service cannot satisfy restitution.
