CRITICAL

The parties may amend the pretrial schedule only by written mutual agreement and with Court approval.

This pretrial schedule may be amended in writing by the mutual agreement of the parties only upon approval of the Court.

An arbitrator’s request for an extension of time to file an award must be presented to the Presiding Judge or designee.

A request by an arbitrator for an extension of time for the filing of an award shall be presented to the Presiding Judge or his/her designee.

CRITICAL

Trial-continuance motions must be written and heard at least 14 days before trial; later continuances are considered only for unforeseeable emergencies with good cause, must be set to a date certain, and remain subject to the court’s discretion.

(e) Continuances. The court is obligated to resolve cases promptly. Motions for trial continuances shall be in writing and heard at least fourteen (14) days before the scheduled trial date. Later continuances of trials will be considered only upon the filing and noting for hearing a motion for continuance for unforeseeable emergencies with good cause shown and upon terms the court deems just. Continuances shall be to a date certain. The court retains discretion to grant or deny any continuance in the interest of justice.
