An order requiring a person or party to attend in open court must include the specified warning in capital letters.

If no ruling has been made 20 days after the reconsideration motion has been submitted and served, either party may certify to the judge or commissioner that the matter is ready for a ruling.

The moving party must serve reconsideration papers on opposing counsel or, if unrepresented, the opposing party.

Motion affidavits and declarations must be based on personal knowledge, contain admissible facts, establish the affiant’s or declarant’s competence, and exclude argument, comment, and nonexpert opinion.

Records of complaints the Committee finds lack merit are confidential and may not be disclosed except by court order.

Oral argument or a motion-calendar hearing on reconsideration may be scheduled only if ordered by the judge or commissioner handling the motion.

For family law, paternity, and non-parental custody motions, supporting declarations and affidavits, including reply materials, and responsive declarations and affidavits are each limited to 20 pages in total; specified materials are excluded, and a party may seek prior approval to exceed the limit for good cause.

All documents supporting a motion must be filed and served together with the motion.
