Western District of Michigan

The Western District of Michigan holds court in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Marquette, covering the western Lower Peninsula and the entire Upper Peninsula. The district has four authorized judgeships and handles a diverse caseload including significant environmental litigation related to the Great Lakes and timber industries. Grand Rapids serves as the administrative center.
