Defendants have 30 days from the first appearance date listed on the summons to pay the answer fee or seek a waiver.

BEFORE coming to the Courthouse, check your court date as many court dates and times have changed. This can be accomplished by contacting the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk.

A person who cannot appear because of COVID-19 symptoms or exposure should notify their attorney, or the Circuit Clerk if unrepresented.

A notice of hearing must contain and prominently display the universal link for the assigned judge's Zoom account.

Criminal jury trials are continued until August 3, 2020, or a further Illinois Supreme Court order, and the delay is not attributed to the State or the Defendant.

Civil jury trials scheduled in 2020 must be vacated and reset case by case.

All June Arbitration Center settings are vacated and continued to a date to be determined.
