Graves Circuit Court Pre-Motion Conference Requirements

Attorneys and their clients must be present at 10:00 a.m. for settlement discussions before the Domestic Motion Hour docket is called at 10:30 a.m.

Domestic motions will be set for 10:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. This shall be referred to as the Domestic Motion Hour. The docket will be called at 10:30 a.m. on those days, but the attorneys and their respective clients shall be present at 10:00 a.m. for settlement conferences, negotiations, and for attempts to narrow the issues.

Before moving to set a trial date in a contested domestic action, the parties must attend a settlement conference and identify contested issues.

A. In all contested domestic actions, prior to filing a motion for the Court to set a trial date, the parties shall attend a settlement conference, either in person or by telephone, at which all contested issues shall be identified, and a Report of Settlement Conference or a Memorandum of Remaining Issues, identifying all contested and settled issues shall be filed with the Motion.
