Northern District of New York

The Northern District of New York, headquartered in Syracuse with courthouses also in Albany, Binghamton, and Utica, covers a vast geographic area stretching from the Canadian border to the mid-Hudson Valley. The district handles significant environmental litigation related to the Adirondacks and Great Lakes region. It has seven authorized judgeships serving a largely rural population.
