Magistrate Judge Rebecca Rutherford began service in the Northern District of Texas in 2018.
Judge Rutherford was born in 1971 and earned her law degree magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1998. She clerked for Judge A. Joe Fish and later for multiple other federal judges including Judges Barbara M. G. Lynn, Paul D. Stickney, and Jeff Kaplan. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University School of Law.
