Northern District of Texas

The Northern District of Texas, with its primary courthouse in Dallas and additional courthouses in Abilene, Amarillo, Fort Worth, Lubbock, San Angelo, and Wichita Falls, is one of the largest federal districts in the Fifth Circuit with 12 authorized judgeships. Dallas's status as a major financial and corporate hub generates a heavy securities, antitrust, and bankruptcy caseload. The Amarillo Division has become a nationally significant venue for administrative-law challenges to federal regulations.
