Court attire is required (suit and tie for males) when appearing via Zoom.

Log in at least 10 minutes before the meeting time for Zoom appearances.

Practice with each witness/client prior to joining the hearing/trial.

The Court hears civil non-dispositive motions and sentence modification hearings at 8:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM.

Judge Chung will manage all civil cases assigned until trial, including motions, summary judgment motions, and pre-trial conferences.

Civil trials will be assigned to another judge on Thursday afternoon prior to trial.

General trial schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm.

Do not note motions for dates when court is in recess (8/14/2026 through 8/31/2026).

Judge Chung is not conducting weddings currently.

Judge Chung intends to decide motions within one day of the noting date. If an order has not been entered three judicial days after the noted date, contact the bailiff.

Working Papers are required for all motions.

Working Papers must conform to GR 14, be double spaced, and use a font of 12 to 14.

Judge Chung will accept stipulations and agreed orders via email without prior permission.

Any Working Papers over 200 pages must be submitted as hard copies in a 3-ring binder with a table of contents and tabs.

The Court does not accept delivery of working papers by email except for stipulated orders.

Dispositive motions are heard on Friday mornings.

Parties must comply with all requirements of KCLR 7 when setting motions without oral argument.

As of 9/1/2025, motions for dismissal pursuant to CR 12 are to be heard without oral argument; the court will no longer schedule hearings on these motions.
