On the date scheduled for the first day of trial, the court will hold a trial call at 9:00 a.m. in Department N18. All trial counsel and self-represented parties can remotely access the trial call by joining the Civil Remote Hearings | Superior Court of California | County of Orange (occourts.org).

Parties must advise the Court in advance and obtain permission before using video, PowerPoint, demonstratives, or audio recordings.
If any Party plans to use a video exhibit, Power Point, demonstrative, videotaped depositions (see also below) or audio recording, the Court must be advised in advance. Court permission is required before such demonstratives or presentations may be used.

Remote video hearings allowed for Non-Law and Motion and Law and Motion hearings, but not for Ex Parte hearings unless ordered otherwise; counsel must comply with Local Rule 375(c) regarding attire and camera.
The Court allows remote video hearings, when appropriate, for Non-Law and Motion and Law and Motion hearings. The Court does not allow remote video hearings for Ex Parte hearings, absent a contrary court order. If appearing for a remote video hearing, counsel shall comply with Local Rule 375(c), including being dressed in appropriate business attire, and having the camera on.

Remote appearances are offered for all non-evidentiary proceedings except mandatory settlement conferences, via the Civil Remote Check-In Program.
Except for mandatory settlement conferences (see § III.D), the Court will offer remote appearances for all non-evidentiary proceedings (meaning any proceeding at which oral testimony is not expected, such as Law and Motion, ex partes, case management conferences, status conferences, hearings on order to show cause, and trial call). Remote appearances will be via the Civil Remote Check-In Program.
