Motion Calendar hearings require 7 calendar days notice before hearing.

The 5 Minute Motion Calendar sits Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:00 AM and the Court will hear only one motion per case.

To set a motion on the Motion Calendar, the motion must first be filed on the E-Filing Portal.

After filing the motion, the filer must e-serve the opposing side through the E-Filing Portal.

CourtMAP motion calendar settings must include, as supporting documents, the motion and any responses bearing an e-file stamp, plus a Notice of Hearing.

The notice of hearing must be filed with the Clerk at least 7 business days before the hearing, not counting the day of the hearing.

If the opposing party is not registered for CourtMAP, the filer must generate their own notice with certificate of service (and Zoom meeting ID for Zoom hearings) and mail it to the opposing party.

Only the moving party may cancel a motion calendar hearing, and must file a notice of cancellation and then cancel the hearing through CourtMAP.

All cases must attend mediation before trial.

Parties must file a request for referral to mediation and submit a copy to chambers.

Financial affidavits must be filed before any referral to mediation is entered.

After the mediator's report is filed, the party must file a Notice for Trial through the e-portal or with the clerk's office.

After filing the Notice for Trial, the party must contact the judicial assistant together with opposing counsel to coordinate a trial date.

Proposed orders must be submitted via CourtMAP (with the motion and supporting documents uploaded to Supporting Documents) only after the hearing takes place, not in advance.

Agreed orders must state 'Agreed' in the title and must state in the body that the parties agree to the form and content of the order.

Parties must not submit duplicate orders via CourtMAP.

Competing orders must not be submitted via CourtMAP; instead the matter must be set on the motion calendar.

Orders granting motions to withdraw must include the Court's mandated language, including that the motion is granted, the movant must mail the order to the client forthwith, and the client has 30 days to retain new counsel or file notice of self-representation (with sanctions for noncompliance and a 30-day stay of compliance orders).

For special set hearings, the motion and a request for hearing must be filed on the E-Filing Portal.

CourtMAP special set hearing settings must attach the filed motion and request for hearing with an e-file stamp as supporting documents, or the setting will be rejected.

Parties must not notice hearings until they have received CourtMAP confirmation that the hearing is set.
