A request for leave to seek additional or subsequent interrogatories or document requests must include the discovery sought and the basis for the request.

Contingent fee agreements must be in writing.

The separate designation pleading must be filed at the same time as the petition.

The application and a proposed judgment should be filed at least FIVE DAYS before the proposed hearing.

A party may request appointment of a special process server, and the request must allege the proposed server is qualified; any appointment is limited to that case.

Filing fees and cost deposits are set by administrative order and the fee structure must be published as an attachment to the Local Court Rules.

Pleadings and other papers must have regularly numbered paragraphs and pages.

Mark each item non-marital or marital by placing an X in the corresponding column.

Matters subject to electronic filing are governed by Supreme Court Rule 103 and Court Operating Rule 27.

Special appointments and settings at other times must be made with the judge of the division involved.

Hearings are typically set for Wednesday mornings at 9:00 A.M.; coordinate with opposing counsel and the division clerk before setting a hearing.

On either party’s application, the Judge may extend or shorten the time to file suggestions.

If discovery is not received within the period stated in the golden rule letter, the propounding attorney may move to compel, and the court may rule without a hearing and require production within ten days of its order.

An interested party may listen to or request a trial recording under the division clerk’s supervision, subject to restrictions in specified cases; other requesters in those cases receive a redacted transcript at their expense.
