Magistrate Judge Bill Davis was appointed to the Eastern District of Texas in the Plano division in 2024.
Before his appointment, Judge Davis served at the Office of the Attorney General of Texas for twenty years, from 2004 to 2024, rising to Deputy Solicitor General. He was board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Earlier in his career, he practiced at Baker Botts LLP from 2001 to 2004 and served as a Briefing Attorney to Justice Greg Abbott at the Supreme Court of Texas.
