About Judge Jason Nagel

Judge Jason E. Nagel began the practice of law in 1999 and began his career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Clermont County Prosecutor's Office. He was promoted from the Municipal Court Division to the Common Pleas division, and in 2013 to Felony Supervisor in the Common Pleas division, handling numerous high profile criminal cases. In August 2013 he was promoted to Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and placed in charge of the entire criminal division of the Prosecutor's Office, a position he held until December 2015. In 2016 he was elected by the citizens of Clermont County to the position of Municipal Court Judge and re-elected in 2022. In 2025 he was elected by the citizens of Clermont County to the position of Common Pleas Judge for Clermont County. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Clermont County Bar Association, the Clermont County Bar Association Grievance Committee and the Clermont County Law Resources Board, and has coached baseball and basketball. He was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1999 and holds a J.D. from Ohio Northern University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Bowling Green State University.
