About Judge Kevin Miles

Judge Kevin T. Miles began the practice of law in 1999 and was appointed an Assistant Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney in 2000. He worked in Municipal Court from 2000 to 2002 handling misdemeanor cases and jury trials, was promoted to the Felony division in 2002 and to supervisor of that division in 2007, and became Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and head of the criminal division in January 2013. In 2013 the Governor appointed him to the Clermont County Municipal Court, he was elected to the balance of that term, and he was re-elected in 2015 and 2021. He served as Presiding and Administrative Judge in Municipal Court and as Judge of the OVI Court Specialized Docket from 2016 to 2019. In 2022 the Governor appointed him to the Clermont County Common Pleas Court; he was elected in 2022 and again in 2024. He holds a J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University (May 1999), a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from Northern Kentucky University (1993), and an A.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Cincinnati (1991). He was admitted to practice in Ohio in November 1999 and is a member of the Clermont County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Judicial Conference.
